I'm a mother of three gorgeous daughters and a registered nurse. My love and passion for assisting mothers during birth started as far back as my teen years. I used to have this recurring dream at night where I was helping mothers give birth to their babies. This went on for several years. I knew that God was trying to get my attention and in later years I realized that His grace and calling on my life included birth work.
During my last years in high school, I was encouraged by an aunt who was a retired midwife to consider pursuing nursing and eventually midwifery. I had plans of studying nursing in college so that was a great starting point.
I entered nursing college and was absolutely mesmerized by the pregnancy milestones and birthing process during my clinicals. My passion was even more ignited. I earned my nursing diploma and continued to acquire a bachelor’s degree in nursing with the intention specializing in labor and childbirth unit (also known as L&D - Labor & Delivery or OB).
I felt so fulfilled when my dream and passion was accomplished as I was blessed to work in the prenatal, labor, childbirth, and postpartum unit for almost 10 years. I taught Lamaze childbirth classes during that period and that is when I had my own 3 princesses.
To attain some flexibility to meet the changes in my family I left the childbirth area of my career and became a school nurse for 5 years.
My passion for birth work never waned and I know it’s time to return since my daughters are older now-
I cherish God's precious gift of life and feel very honored that He would include me in any part of His creation process.
